I loved reading when I was younger and it’d never be long before I was due another Jacqueline Wilson or Roald Dahl book. (The best🙌🏼) But when I became unwell, the enjoyment of sitting with a book or allowing myself to do anything else I loved was almost impossible. I felt like I deserved every ounce of punishment and I should’ve been left wallowing in my own thoughts. But nobody deserves the constant torment of their own mind.
Recently, I’ve gotten back into reading and I LOVE it. It’s been such a fab distraction for me when I need it, because it allows my mind to be somewhere else. Even if we feel like we shouldn’t, we should always all make room for the things we enjoy, the things that make us the happiest and the things that allow us to have an escape from everything going on in our chaotic lives💘📚☺️
